Over €25,000 raised for Children's Hospital Charity through parking parternship

Press Release   •   Jun 13, 2016 15:06 GMT

We are delighted to announce that on June 9th, we donated a further €6,000 to Temple Street Children’s Hospital thanks to the parking partnership between the hospital and our Q-Park Clerys Car park on Marlborough St., Dublin 1. This brings our total donations since the partnership was established to over €25,000!

There is very little parking space available in close proximity to Temple Street Hospital itself and as such, we provide parking for the families of patients and hospital staff for up to 24hrs for only €6 in our Q-Park Clerys car park. Furthermore, each time somebody parks with us from Temple Street, we donate €1 back to the hospital. That’s over 25,000 visits to the car park from Temple Street since 2014!

Commenting on the donation and the partnership, Simon Madden from Q-Park said, “This partnership with Temple Street Hospital just goes from strength to strength and it has really exceeded all of our expectations to be honest. Donating over €25,000 to the hospital in the space of less than 2 and a half years shows that the partnership has been a huge success. We also have a great relationship with the guys from the fundraising team who do incredible work. They tell us that the money from Q-Park is really making a difference to the lives of their patients and this really makes us happy.”

Warmly thanking Q-Park, Denise Fitzgerald, CEO of the Temple Street Foundation says, “The support shown by Q-Park and their customers to this charity partnership since it was established in 2014 has been just phenomenal. Having a discounted day rate available for visitors of the hospital has proven invaluable to patient families. With €1 from every discounted ticket being donated to Temple Street, Q-Park have to date raised an incredible €25,000 to help our little patients through this initiative. Thank you to Q-Park and your loyal customers for your on-going support and generosity to Temple Street, we look forward to continuing to work together in 2016 and beyond.”
